Child & Teen Models

- At Six Models, we have some important guidelines when it comes to children and young adults:
- We have a strict rule that no model under the age of 18 may attend a shoot without a parent. We feel it is important for young models to have grounded guidance through this exciting time, and as a parent you will always look after your child’s best interests.
- No model under the age of 18 will be offered studio time without a parent or guardian being consulted first.
- All parents will be present before/during the shoot to oversee its progression and supervise its content.
Should I pay agency fees
- The simple answer is no! No reputable agency will charge a joining fee. Agencies take a commission from your wage to make their money. Charging a commission always pushes the agent to find you as much work as possible, as it means a bigger commission for them. Agencies often charge between 15 and 25% commission.

How much could I earn as a model?

Fees can vary dramatically; usually the more well known the brand is, the more you can expect to be paid. Some jobs will pay a fixed rate for the entire shoot and, sometimes, pay models figures that go into the thousands. Large companies are known to pay up to £10,000 plus. Other shoots will pay a fixed hourly rate; this can range from £75 to £250 per hour. Before you book a job, you will always be provided with the payment information; it is then your choice whether you want to take on the job. It is your agency’s role to negotiate on your behalf, and they will always get you the best rate possible – remember that the more you earn, the more they earn!
Will I have to cover the travel expenses?

For paid modelling work, travel expenses are generally covered by either the client or the model agency. However, this is not the case 100% of the time. Film and TV extras very rarely pay travel expenses. Before booking a job details of travel expenses will always be given to you. Some clients will book travel arrangements for you and tell you where you need to be, while others will ask you to provide receipts of travel. (When travelling by car, you will often be paid a certain rate per mile.)
