Teen Modelling
Ranging from ages 12-17, teen modelling is for those that believe in their ability as models with the full support of parents. Due to strict laws regarding the working hours of those under the age of 16 and the accompaniment of parents/legal guardians on shoots, like child modelling this is an area of modelling that should always involve the parent and should be undertaken alongside studies, whilst not interfering with them (shoots will always try and be arranged outside of school hours). An educated model will more often than not be a more successful model.
There is a huge spectrum within teen modelling, commercial and catalogue work are the most common and tend to require you to have a current look, whilst possessing the kind of strong physical features you would expect to find in a model of this age. For this reason it is vital that a teen model keeps their appearance in the best possible condition through daily cleansing and drinking large amounts of water (for great skin and hair).
Confidence can be extremely varying with teenagers and so knowing how they can perform in front of the camera is integral to realizing the kind of potential talent they contain. In order to recognise this Six Models asks all successful applicants to attend a test photo shoot, this involves undertaking a professional style shoot with an experienced team of stylists and photographers that can not only evaluate you as a model but also help you to improve your skills if they see a spark within you.
This shoot is not only a great confidence booster and a chance to test and improve your skills but also provides you with the professional images needed to create a strong, effective portfolio that you will stand you in great stead with potential employers, giving them the opportunity to evaluate your talents as well.
Six Models is dedicated to providing all aspiring models with a free advice service that they can use to further their abilities and give them the assurance that they are tackling one of the most daunting industries with their best foot forward.
